7 Minutes 7 Days

July 6, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Stockpile Artists Collective would like to thank the organizers of 7 Minutes 7 Days, a night of artist-made videos screened at an abandoned drive-in theatre this past weekend, and a number of the artists that were showcased at this event were Stockpilers. The audience was asked to tune into 107.1 FM and were in for a show that they would not soon forget.

Great work to everyone involved!

Canada Day was a Success!

July 2, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Stockpile Artists Collective took to the streets, and waters, of Corner Brook, NL for Canada Day yesterday. Gerry Lynn Mackey’s Made in Canada serenaded the attendants of the Flag Raising at City Hall, the YMCA’s community breakfast, and the events at the Wellington Street complex. Shawna Warmington and Lee Power took to the waters of the Corner Brook stream and presented River Walkers. Philip Robbins, Shawna Warmington, and crew decorated the sidewalks of Wellington St and Park St with Chalk/Walk.

Images have been uploaded to our Facebook Page and Flickr.

“Gilbert Jordan” to Close Corner Brook Cafe Tonight

September 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Gerri Lynn Mackey will close out Corner Brook Cafe with Wendy Woodland on Rogers Cable 9 station tonight. Though her appearance will be brief, it will give you a chance to appreciate “Gilbert Jordan” if you couldn’t make it to the exhibition/silent auction opening.

Speaking of the exhibition/auction, it’s on at JL Gallery until September 24th, and this Saturday, September 19th, Jamie-Lee and Philip will have the gallery open at a special time for all you people who are out and about around downtown Corner Brook and the Farmer’s Market. So drop on by 86 West Street this weekend, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and bid on some art!

Update: Here’s the clip from the show! Enjoy!
